Biography

Jack Hall recently joined Cipriani & Werner's Pittsburgh office as Of Counsel.  With more than 45 years of litigation experience, he focuses his practice in the areas of product liability defense and business litigation, and has extensive jury trial experience in state and federal courts in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

In his product liability practice, Mr. Hall has defended manufacturers of automobiles, industrial machine/equipment, consumer products and appliances, industrial chemicals and medical devices.  He also regularly defends clients facing food-borne product claims and is very knowledgeable of the FDA regulations as they pertain to such matters.  He is a frequent lecturer on product liability issues for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.

In his business litigation practice, Mr. Hall is involved in the defense of automobile manufacturers, including warranty, lemon law and dealer litigation, and insurance coverage and bad faith issues, including professional liability.  He has defended numerous cases regarding allegations of negligence involving personal injury and property damage.

Mr. Hall is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), a prestigious honor limited to outstanding lawyers considered to be the best in the states and provinces in which they practice.  Membership is by invitation only.  He is also a member of the Academy of Trial Lawyers of Allegheny County, the Product Liability Advisory Council (PLAC), the Defense Research Institute, the Transportation Lawyers Association and the U.S. District Court ADR Panel.

Mr. Hall is rated AV® Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has also been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers and The Best Lawyers in America.

He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and is a member of the Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and American Bar Associations.

Mr. Hall received his B.A. from The Pennsylvania State University in 1965 and his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1969.
