Biography
Steven D. Snyder was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is a 1978 honors graduate of Bucknell University and graduated magna cum laude from The Dickinson School of Law in 1981, where he was a member of the Woolsack Society.
Mr. Snyder served as a law clerk to the Honorable Dale F. Shughart, former President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice before all the Courts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Snyder has successfully litigated cases in most Courts of Common Pleas in South Central Pennsylvania and in Federal Court. Additionally, he has handled a variety of matters before a number of Pennsylvania Administrative Agencies and the Pennsylvania Appellate Courts.
Mr. Snyder is a member of the local, state and national bar associations and the Pennsylvania Defense Institute. He currently serves on the Court Rules Committee and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Dauphin County Bar Association. He has lectured at the request of the Dauphin County Bar Association and a number of institutional clients.
Mr. Snyder resides in Harrisburg with his wife, Robin, and their three children. He is a member of the Faith Presbyterian Church and is currently on the Board of Directors of the East Shore Kiwanis Club, where he served as President in 1990-1991.
