Biography

William J. McCarthy, Esquire graduated from St. Joseph’s University in 1983, with a B.S. in Management & Marketing. He graduated from the Delaware Law School of Widener University in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1989. Bill then clerked for the Honorable Nicholas D’Alessandro in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, handling all pre-trial civil motions, as well as temporary restraining orders and emergency motions.

In 1991, he became an associate in the defense litigation firm of Timby, Brown and Timby. In 1996, Bill took a position as a litigation attorney with Weinraub, Hardt & Miller, where he handled a variety of insurance defense and workers’ compensation defense cases. In 2000, he received his M.B.A. at St. Joseph’s University.

Bill is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Montgomery Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in all of the Pennsylvania State Courts. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Bill has extensive experience as an arbitrator in the Court of Common Pleas. He is also certified as an Arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau, Auto Line Program.

Bill resides in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Maureen.
