Gregory C. DiCarlo, of Cipriani & Werner’s New Jersey office, submitted and received CLE accreditation from the NJ and PA CLE Boards, and recently presented to practicing attorneys a seminar entitled Opposing Perspectives on the Tort Settlement Process – Legal and Practical Considerations. Mr. DiCarlo offered the defense perspective, while another attorney offered the plaintiff’s perspective. The course led participants through the tort settlement process from the pre-litigation stages through settlement memorialization. The course highlighted damages (economic and non-economic), negotiation tactics, ADR, and subrogation lien handling. An outline of this course is available below.
