Philadelphia Attorney Contributes to Speak at Philadelphia Bar Association
Post Date
11/04/11
Senior Associate, Joseph F. Frattone, IV, of Cipriani & Werner's Philadelphia office is set to speak at the November meeting of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers Compensation Section regarding, “Undocumented Workers in the PA Workers’ Compensation System: Policy, Practice, and Precedents”.
Mr. Frattone will serve as a panelist at the November 4, 2011 Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers Compensation Section meeting. Mr. Frattone, along with a Philadelphia Workers Compensation Judge and a Philadelphia claimant’s attorney will address various issues, policies and legal precedents as they pertain to illegal immigrants in the workers’ compensation system. Mr. Frattone was selected to serve on the panel given his representation of the employer before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court in the seminal case of Reinforced Earth Company v. WCAB (Astudillo). Reinforced Earth has been the leading Pennsylvania case addressing the ability of illegal immigrants to secure workers compensation benefits.
