In memory of our friend, colleague and partner:
Attorney Peter Samson of our Philadelphia office tragically passed away on August 17, 2019 after a bicycle accident near his summer home in Westport, Massachusetts. We are deeply saddened and still in shock about the loss of Pete as he was beloved by all in our firm. He had a kind and humorous spirit. Pete was a highly successful Philadelphia trial attorney having taken -too many cases to count- to verdict over the years. His vast experience in the courtroom made him a great mentor and a helpful strategist to all.
Pete played lacrosse in college at the University of Pennsylvania and since that time, has been deeply entrenched in youth lacrosse in Eastern Pennsylvania. Pete started the Radnor Youth Lacrosse program decades ago and coached at all levels. He recently signed on as an assistant coach to his long time friend, Coach John Begier, to coach the powerhouse Radnor High School boys lacrosse team. Further, this year will mark the 20th anniversary of the Katie Samson High School Lacrosse Festival and Foundation Pete organized, and has since lead, to raise money for spinal cord research. All of his accomplishments were honored by his induction into the U.S. Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
Pete was highly regarded by the bar and loved by all in the lacrosse realm. He will be greatly missed by all of us here at C&W.
