Patrick S. Connolly is an associate in the firm’s Charleston, West Virginia office.  He focuses his practice on civil litigation defense including personal injury, premises liability, and state and local governmental law matters.

Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Connolly worked for a Charleston based firm where he focused on civil litigation defense in a variety of matters.  Before entering private practice, he served as a law clerk for Judge Joseph K. Reeder and Judge Mark A. Sorsaia in the Putnam County Circuit Court.  In that role, he gained valuable experience in both civil and criminal matters, including motion practice and court procedures.

Mr. Connolly is admitted to practice in West Virginia, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia.  He is a member of the West Virginia State Bar and the Defense Trial Counsel of West Virginia.

Mr. Connolly earned his B.A. in criminal justice from Marshall University in 2019 and his J.D. from the Appalachian School of Law in 2024, where he was awarded the Soul of Sutton Award in recognition of his dedication to service and commitment to the legal profession.

While in law school, Mr. Connolly served as a Senior Student Attorney with the Medical-Legal Partnership, where he was certified to practice under supervision in Tennessee and Virginia and provided direct legal services to patients at Ballad Health facilities.
