Thomas B. Bate, Jr. is Of Counsel in the firm’s Mt. Laurel office. He focuses his practice on insurance defense litigation, insurance coverage, fraud and bad faith litigation, and commercial trucking litigation.
Mr. Bate has more than 30 years of first-chair jury trial experience focused mainly on large-loss and catastrophic injury cases, including products liability, professional liability, premises liability, environmental (including the GEMS Landfill litigation), construction, and commercial cases.
He is licensed to practice in New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Bate received his B.S. from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1976 and his M.A. in Journalism from Temple University in 1983. He received his law degree from Widener University School of Law in 1988 where he received awards for Trial Advocacy, Criminal Law, and the Moot Court Honor Society.
When not practicing law, Mr. Bate enjoys surf fishing and playing guitar.
