COVID-19: WV Governor Issues Stay at Home Executive Order

Beginning at 8:00 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, all non-essential businesses in West Virginia will close.  The purpose of the closure is to attempt to slow-down the spread of COVID-19.  Although several essential businesses will remain open (grocery stores, doctor’s offices, hospitals, gas stations, law offices, etc.) the Governor has asked all non-essential businesses to close and to limit all non-essential travel.  The Governor has also provided a list of prohibited activities (Item 3 on page 10) in the Order.

THE GOVERNOR'S STAY AT HOME EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 9-20 is attached.
