Jason J. Cervone is a partner in the firm’s Pittsburgh office.  With over 20 years of experience, he concentrates his practice in representing purchasers, sellers, and financial institutions in all aspects of real estate and other commercial transactions.

Mr. Cervone is a certified commercial lender through the Pennsylvania Bankers Association.  He consults with clients and develops the overall structure of transactions from initial commitment through post-closing issue resolution.  He has substantial experience with purchase and sale agreements, drafting senior and subordinated loan agreements, mortgages, assignments of rents and leases, escrow agreements, guarantees and legal opinions for both tax and liability compliance.  Mr. Cervone has also consulted businesses in the areas of succession planning and equity capital infusion.

In addition to his business practice, Mr. Cervone has successfully represented class one railroads throughout the mid-Atlantic and northeastern regions in FELA litigation.  He has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America for Railroad Law annually since 2022.

Mr. Cervone is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Texas.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association and the Commercial Association of Realtors of Pittsburgh.

He received his B.A. from Westminster College in 1996 and his J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law in 2000, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.  In 2019, Mr. Cervone received his LLM in Taxation with certification in State and Local Tax from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.
