Lei Wang

Lei Wang is an associate in the cyber practice in the firm’s Philadelphia office. During her tenure as a judicial law clerk for Supervising Judge Nina Wright Padilla, she worked on several data breach class actions involving Protected Health Information and Personal Identifying Information.  She helps clients with the challenges that arise from cyber-related incidents, and her diverse background and desire to promote harmony are unique ingredients in her client relationships.

Lei Wang is an associate in the cyber practice in the firm’s Philadelphia office. During her tenure as a judicial law clerk for Supervising Judge Nina Wright Padilla, she worked on several data breach class actions involving Protected Health Information and Personal Identifying Information.  She helps clients with the challenges that arise from cyber-related incidents, and her diverse background and desire to promote harmony are unique ingredients in her client relationships.

Ms. Wang assists her clients in determining the scope of a cyber-related incident, planning the response to a breach, and cooperating with forensics professionals, law enforcement, and leading industry authorities to develop a coordinated approach. She also provides advice to clients with respect to the applicable laws and regulatory compliance at the state, federal, and international levels.

During law school, Ms. Wang worked at the United Nations Development Programme and served as a legal intern in the Corporate and Institutional Law practice.  She has provided significant assistance to several U.N. projects that focus on helping countries in poverty.  Prior to joining Cipriani & Werner, she clerked in the Court of Common Pleas of the Philadelphia County-Commerce Court, wherein she gained invaluable experience in all aspects of commercial litigations involving corporate governance, insurance coverage, class actions, and other complex disputes between business enterprises.

Ms. Wang received her B.B.A. in International Business and a Minor Degree in Chinese Law from Beijing Normal University at Zhuhai.  She received an M.A. in Criminal Justice from Penn State University and her J.D. from Rutgers Law School.  She is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and California (pending).  Ms. Wang speaks English, Mandarin Chinese, and Cantonese.

When not practicing law, Ms. Wang loves the creativity of baking and cooking without a recipe.  She also enjoys hiking and exploring different restaurants in her spare time.
