Ryan J. Murphy is a partner in the firm's Lancaster office. He concentrates his practice in defending employers in workers' compensation, unemployment compensation and other employment matters.
Mr. Murphy has represented private businesses ranging in size from individually-owned to large, multinational corporations. He has also advised various state agencies in the defense of their workers' compensation claims and works with those entities to limit their exposure. His representative clients have included employers in the construction, fabrication, automotive, and retail industries, temporary employment agencies, law enforcement and governmental entities throughout Pennsylvania.
Mr. Murphy is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers' compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association Section on Workers' Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. He has taught seminars on Workers' Compensation, the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and Remote Employment Law.
Mr. Murphy is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, and is a member of the Pennsylvania, Lancaster County, Schuylkill County and York County Bar Associations.
Mr. Murphy received dual degrees with High Distinction and with Honors from The Pennsylvania State University in 2003 and his J.D., cum laude, from the Dickinson School of Law in 2006.
