Ryan P. Slaven is an associate in the firm’s Philadelphia office and a member of the Cybersecurity Breach & Litigation team.  He assists his clients with the challenges that arise from cyber-related incidents including planning the response to an event and working with other experts to formulate a coordinated approach.  He also ensures that his clients comply with all regulatory and reporting obligations required by state and federal law.

Mr. Slaven is an experienced trial attorney.  He previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office, most recently in the Dangerous Drug Offender Unit where he conducted long term investigations of highly organized narcotics offenders throughout the Philadelphia area and assisted in wiretaps and joint state-federal narcotics prosecutions.  Mr. Slaven also served as a Special Assistant U.S. Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office - Eastern District of Pennsylvania and prosecuted narcotics and weapons offenses arising from investigations with both state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Mr. Slaven is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

He received his B.A. from Drew University in 2003 and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2007.  During his third year, he interned for the Honorable Susan Peikes Gantman, President Judge of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.

When not practicing law, Mr. Slaven enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
