Atlanta Partners Leonard, Meincke and Pittman Named 2022 Georgia Super Lawyers/Rising Stars

Cipriani & Werner, P.C. is pleased to announce that Benjamin A. Leonard, Alan H. Meincke and Matthew Pittman have been selected for inclusion in the 2022 list of Georgia Super Lawyers and Rising Stars.

Mr. Leonard is the Managing Partner of our Atlanta office.  He was again selected as a Super Lawyer in the area of Workers’ Compensation, a recognition he has received annually since 2014.  With over 20 years of litigation experience, he focuses his practice primarily on defending employers and insurers under the Georgia Workers’ Compensation Act (Title 34).  Mr. Leonard is also one of a handful of Georgia practitioners who has been trained and certified in Medicare Set Aside allocation and implementation.  He received his J.D. from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law in 2000.

Mr. Meincke, a Partner and Chair of the Family Law practice group in our Atlanta office, was selected as a Rising Star in the area of Family Law.  He dedicates his practice to helping clients in all types of domestic relations issues such as divorce, dissolution of domestic partnerships, child custody, legitimation, adoption, post-divorce contempt and modification actions.  Mr. Meincke also handles a variety of general litigation matters including defense of motor vehicle and premises liability tort claims and estate litigation.  He received his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2011.

Mr. Pittman was once again selected as a Rising Star in the area of Workers’ Compensation, a recognition he has received annually since 2020.  As a Partner in the firm’s Atlanta office, he concentrates his practice in the defense of employers, insurers and third party administrators in workers’ compensation claims.  Before entering private practice in 2015, Mr. Pittman was an Assistant Attorney General with the Office of the Georgia Attorney General in its Litigation Division and Workers’ Compensation Section where he represented all of the State’s agencies in workers’ compensation claims.  He received his J.D., cum laude, from Mercer University in 2013 where he was a member of its Law Review.
