Joseph E. Janc is an associate in the firm's Scranton office.  With over 30 years of litigation experience, he concentrates his practice in premises liability, motor vehicle, professional liability, workers' compensation and other general liability matters.

Mr. Janc began his legal career in 1987 with Confair & Associates in Kingston, Pennsylvania focusing on personal injury, workers’ compensation and social security disability cases.  He then engaged in a general practice at Zito, Martino and Karasek in Bangor, Pennsylvania.  In 1992, he joined Fine, Wyatt & Carey in Scranton where he focused his insurance defense practice in personal injury, workers’ compensation and professional negligence matters before joining Cipriani & Werner in 2013.

Mr. Janc is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Lackawanna County Bar Associations.

He received his B.S. in Geology from the University of Dayton in 1983 and his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law in 1987.

An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Janc resides in Bear Creek, Pennsylvania.  His interests include trail running, hiking, golf and reading.
