Raymond E. Nicholas is an associate in the firm’s Maryland (Metropolitan D.C.) office.  He focuses his general litigation practice on premises liability, construction and environmental matters.

Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Nicholas handled real estate and construction litigation cases including landlord/tenant disputes, construction disputes, real estate disputes, land use disputes, and property disputes for a Maryland real property law firm.  He also has a background in corporate and securities law and interned at the Securities and Exchange Commission while in law school.

He is admitted to practice in Maryland and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.  His license to practice in the District of Columbia is pending.

Mr. Nicholas received his B.A. in Communications and his B.A. in History, magna cum laude, from Salisbury University in 2009 and 2011, respectively.  He received his J.D. from University of Miami School of Law in 2015 and was the Articles and Comments Editor for Miami Law Business Law Review.  In 2018, Mr. Nicholas received his LL.M., Master of Laws, from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law where he focused on tax and corporate related business courses.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his fiancé and family, traveling and playing and watching sports.  He is an avid baseball fan and loves the Baltimore Orioles.
